PERGOLA PROS · SUPPLIED & DELIVERED
Pergola Installation: What We Supply, What You Arrange
Your pergola is manufactured to your dimensions and delivered by HIAB crane onto your prepared site. Groundworks and assembly are arranged by you, locally. That is what keeps a structure of this quality at the price it is — and for most people it is a straightforward job.
Request an estimateCan you assemble it yourself?
Most people can. The structure is supplied for self-assembly with full instructions, and a mid-range unit goes together in a few hours with a couple of pairs of hands. The louvres, motor and drainage arrive as a system rather than as loose components, so there is no wiring to design or gutters to fabricate on site.
The part worth getting right is underneath. Everything above ground is bolt-together; the foundations are the bit that wants doing properly.
Where are the assembly instructions?
In the crate. The manual is supplied with the pergola rather than published here, and that is deliberate rather than evasive: it is written against the structure you actually ordered — your model, your span, your louvre count, and whichever wall infills and accessories you chose. A generic download would be wrong for most configurations, and assembly instructions that are nearly right are worse than none at all.
So there is nothing to download before you order, and nothing you are missing. What we send ahead is the part you genuinely need in advance: the foundation specification and drawings below, so a groundworker can price, pour and cure the bases while the structure is still being made. And if you would rather see how it goes together before you commit, our show pergola in Retford is standing and assembled — you are welcome to look at the fixings yourself. If you are still deciding between a boxed kit and a made-to-measure structure, we compare the two here.
What foundations does a pergola need?
Four pad foundations, 850mm deep. Concrete needs time to cure before the structure is craned on, so this is the step to start early rather than the week before delivery. We send the full foundation specification with your drawings, so a local groundworker can price and pour it accurately without guesswork.
Delivery
Your pergola arrives by HIAB crane and is placed on your prepared site on an agreed date. Delivery is quoted with your structure, because it depends on where you are. No specialist plant is needed at your end.
Do we recommend a fitter?
No — and that is deliberate. We supply; we do not fit, and we will not put our name to somebody else's workmanship. Any competent local builder or groundworker can prepare the foundations from the specification we provide, and the structure itself is designed to be assembled from the instructions. You keep control of who works on your property and what it costs.
Estimate first, detailed drawings when you are ready
Send approximate dimensions and photographs and we use current manufacturer pricing to prepare an initial budget estimate within a few working days. If the estimate suits your budget, we then confirm the specification and prepare the CAD drawings, foundation detail and firm written quotation, so your groundworker is working from the correct project information.
Made to your dimensions
Every structure is manufactured to your measurements rather than picked from a stock size, in single-bay and multi-bay configurations. Full specifications for each model are on the Platinum, Gold and Retractable pages.
