A substantial four-post bioclimatic pergola in 6063-T5 aluminium, built on 150 × 150 × 2.0 mm posts with a 190 × 115 × 2.2 mm beam. Its IP67 motor turns the louvres through 90°; drainage and electrical cabling run through separate concealed channels inside the posts.

T6 is the harder temper of the same alloy: on the EN 755-2 minimums for the wall thicknesses we use, 6063-T6 is rated 170 MPa proof and 215 MPa tensile against 130 and 175 for T5, about 30% more load before the metal takes a permanent set. How the Gold is built.

A motorised louvred roof: the blades tilt to control sunlight, ventilation and rain, so one pergola gives you shade at noon and open sky in the evening without anyone leaving the garden. Add sliding glass walls when the brief is an enclosed bioclimatic room.

Drainage runs concealed through the post cavity, and the wiring sits in its own separate channel rather than sharing it. Integrated LED lighting is built in, in 3000K, 4000K or 6000K.

How does the Gold differ from the Platinum?

Both are motorised bioclimatic pergolas and both shed rain. The Gold is built in 6063-T5 aluminium on 150 × 150 × 2.0 mm posts, with louvres that rotate through 90°. The Platinum uses the T6 temper and a 2.8 mm post wall, its louvres turn past vertical to 100° with a rubber seal in every blade, and it carries a 15-year structural guarantee against the Gold's 8-year coating guarantee. Both are controlled by app or remote, and both are made to your dimensions.

Can I add glass sides, screens or heating to a Gold?

Yes. Glass sliding sides, screens, lighting and heating are options on every bioclimatic pergola we supply. They can be included in the initial estimate and are confirmed in the detailed quotation. Screens and glass are what turn a rain-shedding roof into a room you can sit in through a wet evening. The Gold's integrated LED lighting comes in 3000K, 4000K or 6000K.

Can I see a Gold before I buy?
