Our architectural model, and the only one built in 6063-T6 aluminium, the highest temper in the range, powder-coated in AkzoNobel and carrying a 15-year structural guarantee. On the EN 755-2 minimums for the wall thicknesses we use, T6 is rated 170 MPa proof strength against 130 for T5 — about 30% more load before the metal takes a permanent set. The louvres rotate through 100°, past vertical, with a rubber seal inside every blade. This is the model on show in Retford.

How the Platinum is built.
A motorised louvred roof: the blades turn past vertical to control sunlight, ventilation and rain, and the rubber seal inside every blade is what keeps the garden furniture underneath dry. Add sliding glass walls when the brief is an enclosed bioclimatic room.
A single Platinum structure can be made up to 7 m × 6 m, with multi-bay configurations available for larger areas. Every blade carries a rubber seal inside it, a rain shield that also stops the chatter you get from wind, and dimmable LEDs are built into the blades themselves.
